Switching from Elorus

If you track time and send invoices in Elorus today, you can bring that history with you. The import reads your Elorus account and changes nothing there.

What comes across

  • Clients and their contacts
  • People, with their history
  • Projects and tasks
  • Time entries
  • Invoices, with their payments and balances

Imported time is history. It’s never paid out again and never billed again, so starting fresh doesn’t mean paying anyone twice.

How it works

  1. In eBillStack, an Owner opens Settings → Import from Elorus and pastes the Elorus API key and organization ID.
  2. The app reads your account in the background and shows what will happen: what’s new, what’s updated and what’s skipped, with a reason for each skip.
  3. It compares invoice balances in every currency. Any invoice where Elorus’s paid figure and the imported payments differ is listed for you to check.
  4. You confirm, and it imports.

Run it again later and it matches records instead of duplicating them.

Before you start

The import goes into a workspace that has no clients, projects, time or invoices of its own yet. Members, settings, taxes and invoice numbering can already be set up.

People you import don’t count toward your plan and can’t sign in. Invite the ones who still work with you.

After the import

Look over the invoice balances once more, invite your team, and set your pay schedule. From then on, new hours go on invoices and into pay as usual.
